About Beacon Light Behavioral Health Systems
Beacon Light Behavioral Health Systems (BLBHS) and Beacon Light Adult Residential Services (BLARS) are affiliates of Journey Health System headquartered in Bradford, Pennsylvania. Together they provide mental health services to adults, children, and families in both community-based and residential settings. BLBHS provides community-based and residential programs for children, as well as community-based programs for adults. BLARS primarily provides residential programs for adults, particularly those dually diagnosed with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Both companies operate facilities in Bradford, Warren, Ulster, McClure, and State College, Pennsylvania, and serve clients from virtually every county throughout the state. Founded in the early 1900s to serve children abandoned or orphaned by the oil and lumber industries, the organization has evolved into a private, not-for-profit social service agency.
