Bay State Community Services (BSCS) is a Certified Women Owned, Licensed Mental Health and Substance Use Disorder Services provider. The organization serves individuals, children, families, and communities with a focus on family and community at the core of all services. As a Safety Net Agency, BSCS offers many low or no cost services. The agency provides a comprehensive range of services including Advocacy, Education and Training, Prevention Programs, Peer Supports, Community Based Services, Clinical Services, Restorative Justice Services, and Youth Residential Care. BSCS employs evidence-based interventions and maintains a commitment to professional development through supervised internship programs. The organization was founded by grass roots initiatives in the 1970s by local citizens recognizing the impact of substance use and behavioral health on communities, and later formalized as BSCS in the 1990s.
