Axis I Center of Barnwell

Axis I Center of Barnwell provides prevention, intervention, and treatment services for substance use and related behavioral health issues. The center operates prevention programs aimed at empowering youth and families to prevent high-risk behaviors and substance abuse through evidence-based curricula. Intervention services include alcohol and drug safety education, anger management, truancy intervention, drug screening, gambling counseling, and nicotine counseling. The center provides treatment services including adolescent and adult outpatient treatment, intensive outpatient programming, medication-assisted treatment with naltrexone and buprenorphine, individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, case management, and aftercare. The center is a designated community distributor and training center for Narcan, fentanyl testing strips, and xylazine testing strips. A reasonable fee structure is offered for self-pay clients, and the center accepts Medicaid and most commercial health insurance programs.
