Arkansas Problem Gambling Council

ARPG serves as the Arkansas advocate for programs and services to assist people affected by problem gambling and promotion of financial literacy. The organization advances responsible gaming education and recovery support for those impacted by problem gambling. ARPG operates a helpline (1-800-GAMBLER) and provides resources including a wellness blog covering topics such as the overlap of stress and addiction, women and gambling, the connection between drinking and gambling, and compulsive gambling and mental health. The organization also offers professional training and certification modules for treatment professionals through the ARPG Council, with three stages of training providing up to 30 CE hours total in Arkansas gambling and problem gambling, gambling treatment approaches and application, and specialty topics.
