Appleseed is a comprehensive, multi-service mental health agency founded in 1991 serving Ashland County, Ohio. The organization provides behavioral health services, substance use disorder treatment, housing assistance, crisis intervention, medication management, case management, and victim services to individuals and families across all ages. Originally established to provide adult mental health counseling and crisis services, the agency expanded in 1993 to include housing assistance for individuals with low to moderate incomes, and in 1995 broadened services to include programs for children and families. Appleseed operates specialized programs including Safe Haven, Intensive Home Based Treatment, Community/School Liaison Program, Co-Occurring Program, and Supported Employment Program. The organization employs over 100 professionals and is committed to providing evidence-based, accessible, and outcome-driven services.
