About American Indian Health and

American Indian Health & Family Services (AIHFS) is a nonprofit health and community wellness center founded in 1978, located in Southeast Michigan. The organization serves American Indian/Alaska Native individuals, families, and other underserved populations in the region. AIHFS integrates traditional Native American healing and spiritual practices with contemporary Western medicine through an Integrated Care Model. The center provides medical services, behavioral health services, and community wellness programs. Their youth programs, operating since 1992, build positive support networks for Native youth and families while exploring ways to live healthy and learn Native identity. The organization's mission is to empower and enhance the physical, spiritual, emotional, and mental well-being of their communities.
