Affect is a telehealth platform delivering comprehensive mental health and addiction treatment entirely through a smartphone app. The program includes counseling, doctor visits, peer support, and medications (when clinically appropriate). They treat anxiety, depression, trauma/PTSD, bipolar disorder, OCD, postpartum depression, and substance use disorders including alcohol, cocaine, marijuana, prescription painkillers, heroin, methamphetamine, and fentanyl. All treatment is private and fully online. The platform features 1:1 support with licensed therapists and doctors via video, asynchronous messaging between sessions, medication management, and a science-backed rewards system to help patients stay motivated and engaged. Treatment is covered by insurance, with 90 percent of members receiving entirely free care.
