Action for the Betterment of

Action for the Betterment of our Community (ABC) is a community-based organization located in Sturgis, South Dakota that addresses drug and alcohol use, behavioral health, and social issues affecting youth and adults. ABC collaborates with community coalitions to reduce and prevent substance abuse through education, counseling, and outreach programs. For adults, ABC offers assessments, individual counseling, group counseling, residential treatment services, and peer support. For adolescents, ABC provides tobacco cessation classes, prevention programming, and outpatient counseling delivered at multiple school locations across the region including Belle Fourche, Deadwood/Lead, and Spearfish. The organization operates with a focus on community partnership and creating sustainable, evidence-based interventions.
