SMOC is a comprehensive social services organization established in 1965 as part of President Lyndon B. Johnson's War on Poverty. The organization provides a wide range of services including early education, energy and financial assistance, family services, and regional services across MetroWest, Central Massachusetts, Western Massachusetts, and Lowell. SMOC Behavioral Healthcare (SBH) serves individuals, children, and families with substance use services and related programs. The organization operates over 750 employees and 450 volunteers to serve and strengthen the communities it operates in.
