This film uses AI-generated visuals and voice. The people shown are not real individuals; the story is an illustrative composite drawn from real recovery patterns.
The Same Voice
Different people. Same script.
Why we made this
Every line in the first half of this film is documented. Researchers who recorded gamblers thinking out loud found the same sentences in every head: I'm due. I'll stop when I'm even. Nobody has to know.
We cast thirteen different people and gave them all the same script, because that is exactly what the addiction does. If you recognized your own voice in any of them, the second half of the film is for you.

Transcript
I'm due. I'll just win it back. One more and I'm done. I mean it this time.
It's not gambling if you do the research. It's the only time my head goes quiet. I can stop whenever I want. Nobody has to know. When it lands, I pay everything back. It's not a real loss until I stop.
I'll stop when I'm even. I'll stop when I'm even.
Different people. Same script.
That voice isn't you. It's the addiction. It says the same thing in every head it lives in. And it always moves the finish line. Even never comes.
Nearly 20 million Americans hear it. And almost every one of them thinks they're the only one. You were never the only one.
It gets quieter the first time you say it out loud. You don't have to do that part alone.
The voice says you're due. It's right. You're due for a way out.
