Austin Taylor
Founder, Cope Compass
Austin is the founder of Cope Compass, a real-time recovery-support platform for people struggling with gambling and other behavioral addictions. He builds from lived experience. A U.S. Air Force veteran, Austin developed a gambling addiction that escalated fast and cost him a great deal before he found his way into treatment and recovery.
When he went looking for a tool that met him in the moment that actually decides things, 2am, mid-urge, in the gap between a trigger and a bet, he found nothing built for it. So he built it. Cope Compass pairs a real-time intervention engine with peer support, meetings, and progress tracking, and Austin writes its editorial content with one rule: say things a person in the middle of an urge can actually use.
